4 design sites you should be following on Instagram

I have a thesis to finish, so naturally that means I’ve spent loads of time procrastinating with some of my favourite design magazines and sites. I’d like to think a constant dose of creativity is what keeps me sane when academia gets too much. If you are also in need of a healthy distraction, here are a few of my go-to sites for home and design inspiration, as well as their Instagram accounts if endless beautiful photos are your thing.

For a feast of colour and type with a hint of design nostalgia, DesignLoveFest is perfect! You can follow Bri Emery from DesignLoveFest for her quirky posts.

Design Milk
has the latest in fresh, modern design, and you can follow them on Instagram for the cool art that they find and share.

My absolute favourite design site is of course Design*Sponge. They share stories of real homes that you would definitely want to come home to, everyday design inspiration and kick-ass business guidance for women in the creative industry. Founder Grace Bonney has made the site and her Instagram account a space where design is celebrated in a personal, inclusive way.

On a local scale, Design Indaba has the latest in design and innovation. Their Instagram profile is a daily reminder of the myriad way that creatives are using design principles to better the world.

These are just four of my absolute favourites. Let me know if there are any amazing design sites you think are worth checking out!
